Tell us a bit more about your Startup and your achievements?
From its founding in 2009, GetYourGuide has grown to be one of the world’s most successful online travel startups. Backed by leading VC investors Spark Capital, Highland Capital Partners, and PROfounders Capital, GetYourGuide has expanded into many global markets and opened offices in Berlin, Las Vegas, Sydney, Dubai, Bangkok, New York, London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, and Zurich. Awards and honors received include the Swiss Economic Award 2013, the Swiss ICT Award 2012, the 2011 De Vigier Prize, and the Swiss Venture Leaders award in 2010.

We have offices located all over the world, but our headquarters is located at Erich-Weinert-Strasse 145, 10409 Berlin

Besides technical skills what other attributes will make a candidate a good fit for joining your team?
While technical skills are certainly valuable, motivation and alignment with core values are both incredibly important attributes that make candidates a good fit for GetYourGuide. In an interview, we are hoping to see a very clear picture of a candidate’s unique motivation for wanting to join the GetYourGuide team and also for the specific position. It’s important that candidates are well-informed on our product and are able to detail why they want to be a part of our growth.
During our interview process, we have a Culture Fit interview. This interview consists of questions focusing on our core values and how a candidate relates to them. Although we are growing as a company, it is still important to us that we maintain our rich culture; the core values as well as the Culture Fit interview make this possible. Our Culture Fit interviewers are the gate keepers for company culture, making sure that every candidate believes in and understands our values.
