@JudoPayments announces £1 million competition to support UK-based mobile app start ups at #TMUdrinks

Judo Payments is one of UK’s leading mobile phone card payment providers.  To celebrate the coming out of beta on the 8th of July, Judo has announced a £1 million competition aimed at entrepreneurs and early stage companies that are building apps for Apple and Android phones in order to support mobile innovation.

Denis Jones, CEO of Judo Payments, has declared this competition during TechMeetups FinTech Drinks & Demo Night on the 25th of June stating that Judo will award £1 m of free credit and debit card processing to ten promising UK based businesses.  Businesses that are close to launching their solutions and have a unique or innovative business idea will be given the opportunity to participate in the competition and final selections will be made on the 5th of August.

Winners of the competition, as consequence, will be able to use Judo’s payment processing platform, which makes it simple to integrate card processing in Apple and Android apps for one or many business users.  The competition can be viewed & accessed from JudoPayments website or on TechIdeaHub  here.

TechMeetups has been setup to create a global network of Tech communities from San Francisco to Sydney. We believe that Tech communities are isolated and great things can be achieved if we connect within our cities and outside our borders. Our goal is to create a global Tech cluster of over 50 inter-connected Tech communities by 2015.
