Number of companies searching for candidates in social media networks is increasing. Social recruitment is now an important part of HR department of many companies.  It is estimated that more than 34% companies are searching for candidates in social networking sites.  Candidates need to carefully prepare their web based resume for the social networking sites.

Bangalore: Job portals used to pay a crucial role in job search once but the new trend that is catching up now is job search using social networking.  Social media is opening new doors in job search.  Almost every company is having their own social networking account and more than 85% youth are following social networking sites and these are the reasons for new trend catching up.

Social media has become a stage for professional interest and is not only for personal interest.  Many companies and organizations are considering social networking an important factor in their marketing and communication strategy.  The companies are posting their updates regularly in social media and also prefer to recruit candidates through this medium.  Social media is the easy medium to attract talented candidates without spending money, feel the companies. Social recruitment is now an important part of most of the companies’ HR.  The companies post the details of vacancies eligibilities, skills and other details.
