I Fought the Law and the Law Won: Don’t Let the Law Beat You, New Legal Policies for Employees.

Each month HR Insight produces a 15 Minute podcast to provide up-to-date advice on current employment issues. This month discusses the law changes coming into force this year, such as changes to tribunal fees, reduction in redundancy consultation periods and payroll changes. Especially this month, and very relevant to Tech organisations of all sizes we hear from HR professionals discussing the planned ‘employee owners’ proposals set to come into force in April. These proposal aimed at all companies but particularly Silicon Roundabout start-ups, will allow employers to give away equity and in return staff equity holders or employee owners will give up some statutory rights. These include unfair dismissal and family friendly polices.
