The Karnataka government has unveiled a special initiative called Karnataka ICT Group (KIG 2020) to accelerate growth of the information, communication and technology (ICT) industry, about which TOI reported earlier this week.
At the inaugural session, chief minister DV Sadananda Gowda said the state has set up a new body which has a mandate to take ICT export revenues from the current $25 billion to $70 billion and also to create 14 lakh new jobs over the current base of over 8 lakh by 2020.
