Based on the technologies we developed, we’ve spun off a solution to provide accurate, extensive and centralized information on moving shipping containers.
The solutions are currently being piloted by several customers, many of them being leading entities in the maritime industry. Our first users are seeing clear benefits from our solutions, so we’re industrializing and further scaling distribution to a wider audience.
That’s where you come in!
As a member of our Engineering team in Portugal, you’d be responsible for developing data-based features and maintaining an industrially-ready software product. In the short and long-term, you’d be involved in setting a strong code basis throughout the entire product life cycle, from ideation, design, and prototyping to execution, testing and deployment in order to support tomorrow’s global logistics system.
Your experience
- Must have
- BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience or other evidence of exceptional ability
- Experience with NodeJS, and ideally functional programming
- Experience in Mongodb and Postgres with a good knowledge of query optimization
- Fluent in English
- Nice to have
- Typescript, and a scripting language for data manipulation such as Python
Your responsibilities
- Design, develop and implement applications for our smart container data, on features such as Track&Trace, booking, shipment visibility
- Use NodeJS, mongodb and postgres technology stack
- Design software architecture based on business requirements, strategy and priorities
- Promote software engineering best practices via code reviews, building tools and documentation
