| Please enter a short biography here. | Alan Walker was appointed Vice President, Head of Financial Services for Capgemini Consulting UK in November 2010. He was previously Head of Financial Services for Hitachi Consulting UK, being one of the VPs brought in to launch the business in 2006. Prior to this he was a Sector Head for Unisys UK (2003-2006) and a Financial Services Consulting Partner / VP with Ernst & Young / Capgemini Ernst & Young (1998-2003). With more than 20 years’ experience in the provision of consulting services and technology-enabled solutions to top tier insurers in London, Edinburgh and New York, Alan’s work has encompassed both revenue enhancement and operations improvement. He has concentrated particularly on such areas as applied strategy, performance improvement, business process outsourcing, programme management, performance management and extracting value from technology. He has spoken on financial services issues at national and international conferences in the UK, the US, and the Middle East, and also appeared on TV and radio. Alan holds Bachelor and Master degrees in law from the Universities of Bristol and Oxford respectively, and is also a Chartered Accountant. |
